Saturday Story Sessions Concludes this Saturday with Joan Lane and Janet Scott Batchler

Joan Lane and Janet Batchler

Hello Reader,

We’re excited to invite you to the final Saturday Story Session in our May series — featuring Joan Lane and Janet Scott Batchler.

Saturday, May 30
10 AM PST / 1 PM EST
Live on Zoom

Joan and Janet bring decades of experience in film and storytelling, with careers that have spanned studio films, independent projects, teaching, mentoring, and creative development.

Janet co-wrote Batman Forever and Pompeii, and was the first woman to write a feature-length Batman film. Joan developed the Academy Award-winning film The King’s Speech and has worked closely with storytellers across both film and theater.

Together, they’ll be sharing insights into story development, collaboration, and the creative journey behind meaningful work that lasts.

Whether you’re an emerging writer or a seasoned storyteller, this promises to be an inspiring and candid conversation. We’ll send out the Zoom link on Friday.

If you missed any of our previous Saturday Story Sessions, replays featuring Gavin Michael Booth and Todd Calgi Gallicano are available on the Ignite the Spark YouTube page:

We hope you’ll join us for this special final session.

Warmly,
Robin & John / Ignite the Spark Retreats
