We are so excited to announce our 2026 fall writing retreat!
LOCATION: Weston Park estate in Weston-Under-Lizard, Shropshire, England.
DATES: October 8 - October 14, 2026. Our 2026 retreat includes one full additional day compared to our last one, which will give everyone more time to create, write, and breathe!
We are now offering our lowest pricing of the year between now and February 28th. Prices will increase on March 1.
EARLY BIRD PRICING FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS:
PRIVATE ROOM & BATH:
$6,295 - must book and pay deposit by February 28, 2026
($500 discount off the full price of $6,795)
SHARED ROOM & BATH (two writers / two beds) - There are only two shared rooms with two beds available for this retreat.
$5,445 per person - must book and pay as above
($350 discount off the full price of $5,795)
COUPLES/SHARED ROOM & BATH (one bed for one writer and one non-writer)
$9,190 per room - $5,445 for writer, $3,745 for non-writer - must book and pay as above
($600 discount off the full price of $9,790)
All you need is to apply on the website and set up a time for a brief talk with us. Once approved, we will send you the payment link to make your deposit. Payment plans are available.
Also, if you are able to pay in full by February 28:
You’ll have first dibs on choosing your unique bedroom, and
you will receive a bespoke gin tasting event at Weston Park on us.
After February 28, these early bird rates expire. These are the lowest prices of the year.
MENTORS: We’re thrilled to welcome Christopher Lockhart and Joan Lane back to Ignite the Spark - and especially excited to share that Janet Batchler will be joining us this year. Janet is the only female writer of a Batman feature film (BATMAN FOREVER) and a distinguished professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. We’re also adding one additional mentor, which we’ll announce soon.

There has been an outpouring of interest from our past attendees and space is limited. Ignite the Spark has been a meaningful experience for many, as our past attendees left the 2025 retreat with new knowledge, new ideas, and new friendships.
We will be honored to welcome new participants for what promises to be another one-of-a-kind event.
